Mr A R Mani, President
He was working in All India Handloom Board (AIHB), a quasi-government organization that encourages textile industry, especially in rural India. Mr Mani was serving as chief executive of AIHB, when he established India's first apparel joint venture with a Japanese corporation. He served on its board as Managing Director for 8 years.
Upon his retirement, Mr Mani promoted Devi Exports. With his rich knowledge and management expertise, he brought about a quantum growth in the organisation. In 1997 he successfully entered into a partnership wtih Japan's Mitsui & CO for the latter's exclusive apparel joint-venture in India.
Mr Mani evolves business strategies, manages investment and anchors the overall expansion plans of the organization.
Mr A.R.Ashok, Director
A textile technologist with 20 years of experience in fabric production and designing, Ashok spent his initial years in Salem, a fabrics hub in Tamil Nadu, India, learing the intricacies of dyeing and weaving. Mr Ashok promoted Sri Moogambiga Textiles, to focus on research in dyeing and weaving. His textile venture supplied fabrics to leading apparel makers in the world such as Liz Claiborne, Polo, etc.
Mr Ashok is serving the board of Devi Exports since its inception. He oversees fabric production and brings new design trends and better fabric finishes. Mr Ashok is the moving force behind the growth of the fabric and hometextile division of the company.
Mr A.R.M. Ravi Kumar, Director
A graduate in apparel making and electronic technologies with 20 years of experience in apparel production, Mr Kumar participated in a 2-year training program in apparel making in Japan. He also underwent training given by Juki, the leading Japanese sewing machine manufacturer, on the technologies of sewing machineries.
Mr Kumar started his career as a production manager to gain hands on experience in factory and production management. He joined Devi Exports and started its apparel division. He has been successful in bringing new systems to achieve higher efficiency levels in terms of quality and quantity. It is his relentless pursuit for perfection that has earned Devi Exports its name as a quality apparel maker.
Mr A.R.M. Gopinath, Director
A Graduate in business studies, Mr Gopinath joined as a part-time trainee at the fabrics division of Devi Exports, while still pursuing his studies. He grew to become a board member and one among the chief executives of the organization in a short span of time with his sheer hardwork.
